6/22/11: We are so excited to send our President Tori Boles and Treasurer Kara Smith to Phi Mu's UIFI conference in Indiana! In the following days we'll be getting live status updates from Kara and Tori about their daily experiences. Stay tuned!

5/9/11: Congratulations to our 2011 Georgia State Graduates! Look into joining our Theta Beta Chapter Association in the Fall :)

5/1/11: Today marks the 24th Anniversary of the Theta Beta Chapter of Phi Mu Fraternity at Georgia State University! May many more years of success and sisterhood continue. Happy Birthday Theta Beta!

4/29/11: We are keeping the Phi Mu's, students, and families effected by the recent tornado in our thoughts. "To keep forever sacred the memories of those we have loved and lost."

4/19/11: Tonight we will be celebrating the devotion of our 12 sisters to the bond of Phi Mu! They will be entering the third phase of Phi Mu at our 3D ceremony. Sisters, 3D will be held in 480 UC in Formal Attire. We will be celebrating at Tin Lizzy's afterwards!

4/15/11: Last night our sisters enjoyed an evening at Park Tavern for our 2011 Carnation Ball! Congratulations to our New Member of the Year Lauren Lux, Athlete of the Year Sharilyn Ferreira, Scholar of the Year Cassandra Schwartzman, Sister of the Year Tori Boles, and Woman of the Year Umama Kibria!

4/15/11: Congratulations to our five newly initiated sisters Chelsea Davis, Ivy Kathryn Gann, Madeline Grayson, Haley Parks, Ivy Smith! LIOB ♥ "She has half of my heart. She's worth far more than gold. She is kind. She is true. She's my sister in Phi Mu."

4/13/11: Congratulations to all the Greek Awards Winners from last night! Phi Mu would like to congratulate Sister Kara Smith for the Best Sportsmanship Award and Umama Kibria for Greek Woman of the Year!

4/13/11: Our Phi's have been enjoying the last week of their Phi-ship with Inspiration Week. Monday they enjoyed the company of Fall & Spring 2007 at P is for Pizza Day. Tuesday they mingled with Fall & Spring 2008 at H is for Health Nuts! Today they'll get the scoop with Fall 2009 with their I is for Ice Cream Day at 7pm at Sister Kara's House.

4/12/11: Sisters, tonight Greek Life will be celebrating Greek Awards at 6pm in the Student Center Ballroom! Visit Waffle House on campus after Greek Awards to help ZTA in the fight against breast cancer. Then dance your way over to Gotta Dance Atlanta at 9:30pm! Contact Sister Liz Williams with questions.

4/8/11: After DΦΜINATING at GSUGreekWeek our undefeated Intramural Inter-Tube Water Polo won 1st Place! HOTTIE TOTTIE!

4/3/11: Greek Week begins today with the Greek Week Opening Ceremony in the Student Center Ballroom at 3pm! Come support team Fantastic Four at the Banner and Chant Competition!

3/26/11: Last night our sisters celebrated the success of our philanthropy week at our Spring Fling Party at Ten Pin. Congratulations to our Spring Fling Princess Mona Abdulrab, Spring Fling King Lanre Keyede, and especially our Phi Mu Spring Fling Queen Lauren Lux! We hope everyone had a great time!

3/21/11: Support the sisters of Delta Zeta Sorority - Delta Delta Chapter this week during their Turtle Race Philanthropy Week for the Starkey Hearing Foundation and the House Ear Institute! Drop by the DZ house to vote for our Sister Tiffany Popwell as Best Smile!

3/19/11: Thank you to everyone that participated in our 2011 Spring Fling Week for Children's Miracle Network! Our total, winners of Spring Fling Week, and Spring Fling King, Queen, and Princess will be announced at our Spring Fling Party!

3/16/11: Thank you to everyone that has come support us the past two days. At Phi Moo we raised $211 in 5 Minutes! At our Date Auction we raised about $1,500! See everyone at Sign In and Phi Mu-Sical Chairs today from 11am - 2pm in the Greek Courtyard!

3/14/11: Spring Fling Week for our Philanthropy, Children's Miracle Network Hosptials, has finally begin! This week all the fraternities and sororities will be participating in a wide range of events to help raise money and awareness for CMNH!

3/9/11: Greek Unity Day is taking over Georgia State's campus tomorrow as all our campus Greeks represent their chapters with Letter Shirts and other Greek Paraphernalia! Drop by the Library Courtyard from 12 - 1pm!

3/8/11: Today we had our Big/Little Reveal for our Spring 2011 pledge class! They enjoyed finding out who their precious big sisters were over gift baskets of Phi Mu goodies and love!

3/4/11: Here's to 159 years of our faithful and vibrant sisterhood. Happy Founders Day!

3/1/11: This week is Live Your Ritual Week for Phi Mu's Nationwide. Since we were founded March 4th, 1852, our woman to live our days by being true to the womanhood of love, walking in the way of honor, and serving in the light of truth.

3/1/11: Today our sisters celebrated IHOP's National Pancake Day by indulging in a free stack of pancakes and donating to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!

2/24/11: Mystery has spread the Phi Mu chapter as our new Phis struggled to uncover who their Secret Sister's was during the week. Tonight at our Secret Sister reveal the Phi's learned who their mystery sister was and received their stitched Phi Mu letter bag. It was a great bonding experience for all the sisters!

2/19/11: Tonight the sisters of Theta Beta brought out their rough side at our Biker's Bash mixer with the brothers of Sigma Nu. We all had a great time sharing tattoos and trading biker stories at Deadwood Saloon!

2/16/11: Thank you to everyone that supported us at the bake sale this afternoon! We raised an outstanding $136 for Children's Miracle Network. Your generous donations have put a smile on a child's face!

2/13/11: Our hearts and prayers go out the Phi Mu Theta Gamma Chapter at Florida International University for their loss. "To keep forever sacred the memories of those we have loved and lost."

2/13/11: Tonight our sisters Kara Smith and Natalie Brelsford will be performed in the Miss Georgia State University Pageant! These beautiful ladies represented Phi Mu while raising donations for Children's Miracle Network!

2/10/11: Last night The Pink ladies won their first intramural basketball game 40-38! We celebrated the victory with the sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha at their annual Crush Party. We began the night with our intramural Kickball game at 6pm and won 2nd place. Then our new Spring Phi Class celebrated at their bids at our "How Sweet is it to be a Phi Mu" Bid Night Party. We're so glad to welcome our five new phis Madeline Grayson, Haley Parks, Salima Lalani, Chelsea Davis, and Ivy Gann. a

1/22/11: Today our sisters traveled to Phi Mu headquarters in Peachtree City, GA to help Phi Mu Foundation film a video for their efforts to raise money for M3 (March Madness Marathon). We had an incredible time bonding with Phi Mu's across the nation while filming to raise money for Phi Mu Foundation. We hope that everyone enjoys the video once it is released!

1/13/11: As quoted from the National Phi Mu Facebook fan page, "Welcome to Amy Maurer, the new Area III Collegiate Relations Coordinator at the Phi Mu National Headquarters. Amy is a Phi Mu from the Theta Beta Chapter at Georgia State University!" We're so proud of her!

12/05/10: The Christmas Charity Auction is Phi Mu's annual Philanthropy fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network. This year our sisters reached out to sponsors to donate hot items such as two tickets to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, Ovo Cirque Du Soleil tickets,Georgia Aquarium tickets, laser hair removal treatment, hiking trips, golf sets, Phi Mu gift baskets, and so much more! We raised $1,585 for Children's Miracle Network!

11/30/10: This evening four of our sisters have transitioned into the third phase of Phi Mu: Phi Mu Alumna. Congratulations to our new Phi Mu Alumnae Brittany Hall, Jessica Klaus, Ivey Noelle Masdon, and Krissany Spain-Tauber! Our chapter is truly thankful for all the wonderful contributions each one of you have had in shaping Theta Beta's existence. 11/20/10: It was another successful philanthropic day for our sisters! We started the morning with a Carnival Patient Party for the children at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. Then some of our sisters headed to the Eagleston Children's Hospital for the Star 94 Cares for Kids Radiothon. We helped raise over $500,000 dollars for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta!

11/16/10: As a successful semester within the Theta Beta chapter comes to an end, our sisters have elected our new executive board! Congratulations to all our sisters on the 2011 Executive Board! We know you're going to do an PHENΦΜENAL job! Thank you to our current outgoing Executive Board for all your hard work and support this year. We appreciate everything you guys have done for our chapter!

11/14/10: Congratulations to our 23 beautiful new sisters! Get ready for a lifetime experience while sharing the bond of Phi Mu with your new sisters! We're so proud of each and everyone of them. Our weekend in Macon, GA was full of sisterhood, excitement from paddle and T-shirt exchanges, and love from our rituals. We ended the weekend off at Phi Mu's Cannonball House and then our traditional lunch at Chilis!

11/13/10: This morning, our sisters enjoyed supporting our sister Casey London at the Pancreatic Cancer Walk at Perimeter Mall! Now we are all preparing ourselves for a weekend in Macon, GA at Wesleyan College for the initiation of our 23 beautiful phis. Congratulations to the Fall 2010 pledge class! "Got along before I met you, but I can't do without you now." LIOB ♥

11/8/10: This week is our Inspiration Week for our Phis! Throughout the week, our Phis will reflect on their Phiship and learn about why Phi Mu is special to each of Theta Beta's pledge classes. Each pledge class has organized a night of the week to bring together pledge sisters for a night of Phi Mu fun and food! This week's schedule: P: Mon - Fall 2009 Pizza Party H: Tues - Fall 2007 & Spring 2008 Hotdogs & Hamburgers Night I: Wed - Fall 2008 & Spring 2009 Italian Night MU: Fri - Big Sisters Unity Night Sat - INITIATION! Sun - Cannonball house

11/7/10: Tonight our Phis are traveling to our blue ridge cabin for their Phi Retreat! Throughout the night the Phis will reflect on their Phi Ship, learn about Phi Mu's history, and bond with each of their pledge sisters. We are so excited to call our them our future sisters! Countdown to Initiation: 7 days!

11/6/10: Today our sisters rised and shined early for the MDA Walk at Zoo Atlanta! The sisters enjoyed a day at Zoo Atlanta walking to raise awareness, funds for treatments and cures for neuromuscular diseases!

11/5/10: Tonight our sisters were ALL FIRED UP for sisterhood at our pottery painting class! Our sisters headed to the All Fired Up Pottery Painting shop for snacks and painting while enjoying the company of our sisters. Even our not of artistic sisters came up with the most creative pottery designs! It was a blast! Thanks Sister Tori!

11/5/10: Today was a very productive day for our sisters: We began the day with a successful Charity Jean Sale that benefited Children's Miracle Network! At 6pm our sisters raced to the volleyball courts for a match up against Delta Zeta and took home the win for Phi Mu! Then we celebrated the night with the men of Kappa Sigma at our 90's Sitcom mixer at O'Terrels! Thank you to everyone that came and supported us!

10/28/10: Tonight, our sisters had Big/Little Reveal! The phis gathered at the Phi Mu house to retrieve their mysterious decorated Pumpkin. Then our Phi Director, Hannah Jenkins, guided them to the Greek Community Room to find their matching pumpkin with their big's name waiting to be revealed. Once their name were revealed, everyone ran to their families with the biggest smiles! Now our families are complete :)

10/24/10: Congratulations to our intramural Ultimate Frisbee team on being the undefeated 2010 Ultimate Frisbee Champions! DΦΜINATE!

10/23/10: Phi Mu's love their family! Today we showed our appreciation to all the families of Phi Mu by hosting a Family Weekend at the Phi Mu House. Families were invited to the House for a casual lunch, tour of the house, and meet and greet with all the sisters! It was so much fun meeting everyone's families and hanging out with our phi mu families! "You held our hands for a while, but you'll hold our hearts forever." ♥

10/21/10: Tonight, our sisters went on a road trip to North Georgia for an adventure in the corn fields as a sisterhood event! The adventure was very fun as we sang and danced through the maze to find their way to the finish line!

10/18/10: Today, our sisters attended a special Drunk Driving Simulator event hosted by Georgia State University. We learned the severe hazards of Drinking and Drinking and pledge to never be another statistic!

10/17/10: Congratulations to our intramural flag football team for winning 2nd place! It has been a phenomenal season! Thank you to our incredible coaches and everyone that came out and supported us!

10/16/10: It has officially been a year since our Fall 2009 pledge class was initiated into the sisterhood of Phi Mu. Our Fall 2010 initiation will be held at our founding location in Macon, Georgia on November 13th! LIOB ♥

10/14/10: After a week full of clues and mystery, Secret Sisters were revealed to the Phis! Our Phis joined the sisters at dinner at Hudson Grille to discovered who their mystery Secret Sister was and then received their Phi Mu letter bag! Then our sisters raced to the OMNI gym for our second soccer game against ZTA.

10/9/10: The sisters of Phi Mu and the brothers of Sigma Nu teamed up today to host our second successful Patient Party at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital! We organized carnival games and prizes that emphasized cognitive and motor skills that the kids really enjoyed. Our group's goal was to entertain the children with a day of fun filled games that would allow them to get away from the normal hospital scene and just allow them to act like the true child they are! We had an incredible time interacting with the children and can't wait to go back next month!

10/9/10: The sisters of Theta Beta gathered with other Phi Mu across Georgia and other organizations to support Children's Miracle Network's annual Torch Relay! Our sister Tori Boles and Tanya Feilke ran 2 miles to benefit the charity, while our sisters supported them and walk 2 miles! The event was a well known success with the support of our sisters. The children had a very fun afternoon. Can't wait for next year!

10/7/10: Phi Mu supports the sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha in their efforts to raise Breast Cancer awareness in the month of October! Our sisters are supported their philanthropy by PINKING OUT Georgia State! We will also be attending their annual Think Pink Picnic on October 24!

10/5/10: Today, our sisters gathered in the Georgia State General Classroom Building Courtyard to hold a Bake Sale that benefited Children's Miracle Network! Our sisters paraded and raised awareness for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. We raised over $200 while having a fun time outside with our sisters! Thank you to everyone that came and supported our sisters and philanthropy!

9/24/10: Our sisters rummaged through all the thrift stores to look for the perfect outfit to wear to our $10 Prom Mixer with the gentlemen of Pi Kappa Phi. We had a great time mingling with the boys and spending time with our sisters!

9/21/10: Tonight our sisters learned the importance of a healthy body and healthy mind as we did Yoga at Piedmont Park! Vice President of Sisterhood, Tori Boles, organized a day in Piedmont Park for our sisters to learn yoga. This chapter allowed the sisters to relax in the middle of midterm stress.
